We’ve recently moved into a new office and in the process uncovered a bunch of old boxes of art. These days PvP is produced entirely in a digital environment but that hasn’t always been the case. In the old days the strip was sketched and inked on velum paper or bristol board (often in no particular panel order) before being scanned, arranged, and lettered.
Found a good example of the old process while digging through those boxes. This is a plain piece of velum or bond paper with what would eventually become a strip in 2008. We dug the comic out of the archives so you could compare the finished to the original sketches. Take a look!
